Tucson Museum of Art Holiday Show

Some of our fine sales at the show!  We were part of the Tucson Hand Weavers and Spinners Guild "store" for this event.  Had lots of fun working with guild members and customers...it's so nice when your pieces find their home...completes the circle!  :)

Red Hot BFL

This hat is made using that beautiful Blue Faced Leicester wool we received from Rod and Carolina O'Finland! Such a pleasure to work with and the colors..well...as you can see... are inspiring.

Peacock Dance Wet Felted Mandala

Continuing to work in the "round"...Peacocks decided to dance today!

Hope this detail shot helps convey just how much I am loving Blue Faced Leicester wool and Rod O'Finlands' awesome wooden rolling tool.

Thanks for hand dyeing the wool Sally. That color infusion always inspires.

Working in the Round

There is something mysteriously satisfying about working these round shapes from start to finish. An element of dancing while painting with the fibers...getting to interact with the design flow in 360' and up through the layers.

String theory, fractals, wormholes???? I confess. Yes, I've been listening to Morgan Freeman's voice wondering about the universe!
