Adventures in Eco-Dyeing

Hope you enjoy one of my first attempts at a video production!  It chronicles some of our adventures in Eco Dyeing...this time a wet-felted jacket that Sally made awhile ago.  We have used 2 types of Eucalyptus leaves and bark, African Sumac leaves, Blossoming Plum leaves for the botanicals.  The mordants are vinegar, iron water, and maybe some input from the aluminum pot!  Now to wait a couple of days and see what magic happens!

To Machine roll or not to machine roll...

THAT is the question! We had a wonderful visit at the home and studio of Nancy Crowley. Her creative husband has come up with a rolling machine. Had lots of fun seeing the Alpacas too...Lawnboy (a handsome silver male) has two more adoring fans!

Great Idea!

This wristlet also makes a beautful hair band...customer idea for a dual use! Lots of excitement at this show. We are the only felt exhibitors...people are so open and enthralled with the wonders of wool! Have the "Beautiful Sheep" book out on the table to share.
